A compact and high-quality audio recording device specially designed for use alongside a DSLR camera. It utilizes an SD/SDHC card as its recording medium.

The XLR mic/line inputs have the capability to provide phantom power at 24V/ 48V, while the TRS mic/line inputs can support input levels of up to 24 dBu when used as line inputs. Additionally, the stereo mini jack input accommodates microphones that require plug-in power.

Recording options include 44.1/48/96 kHz sampling rates and 16/24-bit linear PCM recording in WAV format. In addition to standard stereo recording, this device allows simultaneous recording of up to four channels.

A camera input is provided for convenient audio monitoring directly from a DSLR camera. You also have the option to select mid-side decoding for compatibility with MS microphone setups.

Powering options include four AA batteries, an optional AC adaptor (Tascam PS-P520E), an optional external battery pack (Tascam BP-6AA), or USB bus power.
